Nightstand

Associates and co-workers always laughed when I'd toss scraps into the truck instead of the dumpster. I built these red oak nightstands as a Christmas present for my wife. They were crafted entirely from leftovers from several staircases.

Reclaimed wood fine bookcase

Had you seen this wood before I cleaned it up, you'd not believe it could look this good! This beautiful bookcase was made from red oak floor boards from an old farmhouse that were destined for the landfill, and hemlock fir bead board from an old house in Tennessee.

CD cabinet

Poplar CD/media storage with a matte black distressed finish, holds over 24 CD's or DVD's.

trestle bench

Small, Trestle Style Bench in wormy chestnut and spalted oak Dimensions: 32" long x 13" wide x 18" tall. This little beauty is packed with features! From the character rich Wormy Chestnut top and Spalted Oak ends, to the walnut tenon pegs and square cherry pins that hold the trestle ends together, not to mention the ebony plugs on the seat. All topped of with several coats of a matte urethane finish and hand rubbed wax on the seat that will preserve the beauty of this piece for generations to come.

Oak benches

After I finished the previous bookcase, I had just enough red oak farmhouse wood left for these small benches.

file cabinet

File cabinet from red oak and yellow pine barn wood.

sideboard

Handmade wormy chestnut sideboard. Reclaimed wood. This beautiful unique sideboard table could grace an entryway, a dining room, or stand behind a sofa, bringing both beauty and functionality to your home. 48" wide, 18" deep, 36" tall, with 2 hardwood drawers on drawer guides to ensure perfect support. This rare wood was found in East Tennessee.Small quarter-sawn barnwood frame.

5 board bench

This classic five board bench is crafted from antique poplar barn wood salvaged from a Jefferson County, AL barn and sanded just enough to bring out the beauty underneath the weathered surface yet leave the distressed character of the decades of exposure to the elements. The original square-head, iron nails were used in its assembly to add to the authenticity of this age old design. This bench will add warmth and charm to any decor. Finish: light brown Bri-Wax. Dimensions: 60" long x 14" wide x 16" high.

walnut desk

Walnut desk- custom desk built to the customers specifications, featuring 2 legal size file drawers, a keyboard drawer with a drop down drawer front, and a knee space storage area. Photo is prior to hardware and finish.

dark oak bench

Dark oak bench in reclaimed wood, hand planed and scraped just enough to smooth the surface, yet leaving the characteristic circular sawmill marks to add to the rustic charm only found in salvaged woods. I recently attended a class on wood finishing where the instructor demonstrated several techniques to distress and add an aged look to various projects. I think you'll agree that no artificial aging process can ever compare to the real thing! Dimensions: 43" long x 14" wide x 19" tall.
